Connectors: how they work

What a connector is, who can add one, what Releavo may do with it, and where your sign-in is kept.

A connector links one project to a tool your team already uses: Jira and Confluence, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Figma, Linear, Notion, Sentry, or any MCP server. Once it's connected, Releavo can read that tool and, where the tool allows it, work in it for you.

Where to find them

Open a project, then Connectors: the connector icon in the top bar, or ⌘K and type connectors. You'll see what's connected, its status, and a card for each tool you can add.

Who can add one

Team connectors: project admins and the PM, for everyone in the project. Client stakeholders can only ever read through a connector.

Some connectors are just for you (Figma editing): anyone on the team adds them for themselves, only they see them, and Releavo uses them only when that person asks.

What happens when you connect

  1. You sign in to the tool (or install an app, or paste a token, depending on the tool). Each guide below says which.
  2. Releavo checks the connection works.
  3. Releavo writes to you in chat: what it found, what it suggests bringing in or following, and a question. Nothing moves until you answer.

What Releavo may do with it

ReadChange things in the toolChange things in Releavo
Jira, Confluence, Linear, NotionYesWhen someone asks, within their rolesDrafts, and mirrored files kept in step
GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOpsYesOnly with coding switched on: its own releavo/ branches and draft pull requestsStory status, comments, risks
Figma (team)YesNever. Read-onlyComments, UX spec drafts
Figma editing (just for you)Through your paired pluginWhen you ask, in your own Figma
SentryYesNoRisks, bug notes

Whatever it changes in Releavo still follows the usual rule: docs become drafts that the right person approves.

Where your sign-in is kept

Tokens and sign-ins are stored encrypted on Releavo's servers. The AI never sees them: it calls tools through Releavo, which adds the credentials itself. Remove a connector and its credentials are deleted with it.

Background sync

Tools you've brought things in from (Jira, Confluence, Linear, Notion) are kept in step in the background: changes there come back, and what's approved here goes out. You can pause it per connector from its ⋯ menu.
