Self-hosting

Install Releavo on your own servers with Docker Compose, choose its model, and activate the licence.

Self-hosted Releavo is the whole product on your servers: the app, the agent, coding boxes, connectors and the MCP server, on Supabase's own self-hosting stack. Your docs, code and conversations stay in your network, and the AI runs on the model you choose.

What you need

  • A Linux server with Docker and Docker Compose v2: 4 CPUs, 16 GB of memory and 100 GB of disk to start, more for coding boxes (each takes 2 to 8 GB while it runs).
  • A domain name pointing at it, or your own TLS proxy in front.
  • A model: an Anthropic key, Claude on Bedrock or Foundry, or a model you host that speaks Anthropic's Messages API (vLLM, Ollama 0.14+, LM Studio, LiteLLM).

Install

sh deploy/onprem/setup.sh --site https://releavo.example.com --dir /opt/releavo
cd /opt/releavo
# pick the model in .env, then:
docker compose --profile build build releavo-box
docker compose up -d

setup.sh fetches Supabase's latest self-hosted release, generates every secret into .env, and adds Releavo's settings. docker compose up builds Releavo's images the first time, sets up the database, and starts everything behind Caddy, which gets a certificate for your domain.

Open your address, create your account and your workspace. The first person to create a workspace is its admin.

The model

The install's model is in .env, used by every workspace that doesn't choose its own. For a model you host:

ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL=http://vllm.internal:8000
ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN=none
RELEAVO_DRAFT_MODEL=Qwen/Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct
RELEAVO_CHAT_MODEL=Qwen/Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct

Workspace admins can also pick another in Workspace settings → AI model (how).

Licence

A new install runs for 30 days for up to 10 people. To license it, buy one or start a free 30-day trial (25 people) on releavo.app under Billing → Self-hosted, then on your install open Workspace settings → Licence:

  • Activate with releavo.app: your install shows a code; approve it on releavo.app, signed in as an admin of the workspace that holds the licence. Done in a few seconds.
  • Paste a key: for installs that can't reach the internet. Copy the key from Billing → Self-hosted, and paste a new one when the licence renews.

The licence is a signed key the install checks itself. Online installs check in with releavo.app once a day, which renews the key with your subscription and reports how many seats are in use. Set RELEAVO_LICENSE_CHECKIN=off to turn that off.

Seats are the people with a working role in a project, and workspace admins; client stakeholders are free. There's 10% room over the licence so nobody is stopped mid-onboarding. When a licence ends, nothing stops for 14 days; after that the AI pauses until it's renewed, and everything else keeps working.

Email and voice

  • Sign-in emails: Supabase's SMTP_* settings in .env. Until they're set, people sign up without confirming their email.
  • Invitations: RELEAVO_SMTP_URL, e.g. smtp://user:[email protected]:587. Without it, invitations are links you pass on.
  • Voice input: TRANSCRIBE_URL, any server with OpenAI's transcription API, such as a local Whisper.

Code repositories

GitLab works with an access token on any instance. For GitHub, create your own GitHub App as the GitHub guide describes, with your address in its URLs, and put its values in .env. Coding boxes are containers on the same Docker host, so the app needs the Docker socket (it's mounted in releavo.yml); leave coding switched off if that doesn't suit you.

Updates and backups

Run setup.sh again to update Supabase's files (your .env is kept), pull or rebuild Releavo's images, and docker compose up -d. New database migrations run on start. Back up volumes/db/data and volumes/storage, or use pg_dump.
