Releavo vs ChatPRD

Both write PRDs with AI and both connect to Claude Code and Cursor over MCP. ChatPRD is a writing assistant for product managers. Releavo is a workspace for the whole team, where the PRD is one doc in a chain that the right people sign off and that follows the code.

The short answer

Pick ChatPRD if you're a product manager who wants a fast, polished assistant for writing and improving PRDs and sending them on to your tools.

Pick Releavo if the PRD has to stay true as the team works: designers, the tech lead and QA work from the same docs, each doc is approved by the role that owns it, and Releavo follows your repos and updates the stories as code lands.

Where ChatPRD is stronger

  • It's focused on one job. If what you need is a PM's writing partner, ChatPRD's templates, rewrites and reviews are built for exactly that.
  • Lower price for one person. Pro is $15 a month billed yearly, and you don't need a team to get value.
  • Meeting notes as a source. It can pull context from Granola.
  • It lives inside Linear, listed as one of Linear's agents.

Where Releavo is different

  • The PRD isn't on its own. It's built from the approved brief, and the UX spec, architecture and stories are built from it. When a requirement changes, Releavo carries the change down the chain as drafts, through a change request when the doc was already approved.
  • The right person signs off. Releavo drafts; the product owner approves the PRD, the tech lead the architecture. That's enforced by the database, not by a prompt.
  • It follows the code. Connect a repository and Releavo reads each push and pull request, checks it against its stories, and updates their status.
  • It can build the story. With coding switched on, Releavo works in its own dev box, pushes only to its own branch and opens a draft pull request for review.

Using them together

Nothing stops a PM drafting in ChatPRD and bringing the doc into Releavo, where it becomes the next version of the project's PRD and goes to the product owner for approval.
