Releavo vs Linear

Linear is issue tracking and project planning for product and engineering teams, with its own agent and coding sessions. Releavo is where the docs before and around the issues are written and signed off: the brief, PRD, UX spec, architecture and stories. It connects to Linear rather than replacing it.

The short answer

Pick Linear for issue tracking: cycles, triage, projects and a fast interface engineers like, with agents and coding sessions on top.

Pick Releavo when you need the docs the issues come from, written by AI and approved by the people who own them, and kept in step as the work changes. Connect Linear and the two stay in step.

Where Linear is stronger

  • Issue tracking. Cycles, triage, views, keyboard-first speed, and Insights on Business. Releavo has a backlog, board and sprints, but Linear is a deeper tracker.
  • Its agent ecosystem. Cursor, Codex, Devin and others work as agents inside Linear, alongside Linear's own.
  • Support integrations such as Zendesk and Intercom feed issues straight in.

Where Releavo is different

  • The docs come first. Releavo writes the brief, PRD, UX spec, architecture and epics, and the stories are built from them, each citing the requirements it covers. A readiness check finds the gaps before a sprint starts.
  • Sign-off is enforced. The product owner approves the PRD, the tech lead the architecture, QA passes stories. Releavo can't approve its own work, and approved versions are never overwritten.
  • Client stakeholders are first-class, free, with a read-only summary and the right to comment and approve.
  • You can run it yourself, with your own model.

Using them together

Connect Linear to a Releavo project: bring issues in as context, or send the approved stories out as Linear issues and keep them in step. Engineers stay in Linear; the product owner, designers and the client work from the docs in Releavo.
