Releavo and Jira Product Discovery

Jira Product Discovery is Atlassian's tool for collecting ideas and insights, prioritising them and keeping a roadmap, with Rovo AI built in. Releavo starts where an idea is chosen: it writes the brief, PRD, UX spec, architecture and stories, has each signed off, and keeps Jira in step.

The short answer

Use Jira Product Discovery to decide what to build: ideas, customer insights, prioritisation fields and roadmaps, all next to Jira.

Use Releavo to define and deliver what you chose: the doc chain from brief to stories, written by AI and approved by the people who own each doc, with the stories sent to Jira and kept in step as the code lands. Many teams will want both.

Where Jira Product Discovery is stronger

  • Discovery itself. Capturing ideas from anywhere, attaching customer insights (including Jira Service Management requests), scoring them with custom fields and views. Releavo doesn't try to do this.
  • Roadmaps for stakeholders, embedded in Confluence pages.
  • Native Jira. Ideas link straight to the epics and issues that deliver them, with no connector to set up.
  • Price per creator, with contributors free.

Where Releavo is different

  • It writes the docs between the idea and the tickets. Once an idea is chosen, Releavo drafts the brief, then the PRD, UX spec, architecture, epics and stories, each built from the one before.
  • Each doc has an owner who signs it off. Releavo's edits are drafts until the right role approves them; approved versions are never overwritten, and later changes go through a change request.
  • It follows the code. Releavo reads pushes and pull requests and updates the stories, so the plan in Jira reflects what was actually built.

Using them together

Decide in Jira Product Discovery; define and deliver in Releavo. Connect Jira to a Releavo project and Releavo can bring an epic and its context in, write the PRD and stories, and send the approved stories back to Jira, where Jira Product Discovery tracks them against the idea.
